About Twenty-07: Main areas of research
The aim of the Twenty-07 Study is to investigate over time the social processes that produce or maintain inequalities in health by six key social factors:
- social class
- gender
- age
- area of residence
- marital status (now broadened to encompass family structure)
- ethnicity (in collaboration with other Unit programmes)
In addition, the Twenty-07 Study is used to explore different aspects of people’s health and how these relate to each other.
